(Alexandria, LA) – It was the final round of the Coke Dr. Pepper Open at OakWing Golf Club.  With many players still in contention to win the round presented a fun day.  Players battled it out for the top prize of $35,500 and the $187,000 total purse, the largest in APT history.

Throughout the tournament Jake McCrory (Deer Park, TX) consistently posted low rounds 69/63/66/67 (-23) to ultimately give him the victory.  McCrory got out to a hot start, tallying two birdies through his first three holes.  Pairing partner Jorge Fernandez Valdes (Argentina) also got out to a hot start with two birdies to start the round.  Fernandez Valdez found trouble on the back after double bogeying back to back holes.  He would go on to finish at 2-under for the round and 19-under overall to finish T-6.

Defending Champion Greg Eason (Kissimmee, FL) had a hot start to the week, but ran out of steam down the stretch falling just short at 21-under to finish tied for second with Allistair Docherty (Vancouver, WA).  Docherty finished his final 36 holes 16-under par to propel him up the leaderboard.

LECOM Suncoast Champion Hayden Buckley (Tupelo, MS) shot his second straight 67 to finish at 20-under par to finish tied for fourth with Derek Oland (Plano, TX).  Oland started his final round hot, turning at 5-under par after an eagle on the 9th hole.  He would slow down on the back recording just two birdies and one bogey to finish his round at 6-under (66).
